New Delhi, 23 July: While there was an overall improvement in enrolment at the
elementary level in the country in fiscal year 2010-11, a study says enrolment
in private schools was stronger than in government schools. Highlighting the
increased inclination among parents to enrol their wards in private schools, a
report from the National University of Educational Planning and Administration
(NUEPA) said that while enrolment in classes I-V in government schools was lower
in 2010-11 than in 2009-10, enrolment in private schools at this level
increased. |
